PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakdown of a heat absorption filter used in a light source unit. SOLUTION: A processor 20 has a main light source 21 to output regular light, first and second heat absorption filters 31, 32, a light guide 15, and an auxiliary light source 41 to output auxiliary light. The first or second heat absorption filter 31 or 32 is arranged on the light path L of regular light, and the regular light after its heat ray has been cut off with the filter put on the light path L enters the light guide 15. The heat absorption filter arranged on the light path L is changed into another heat absorption filter. When the heat absorption filter put on the light path L is changed into another, the regular light from the main light source 21 is prevented from entering the light guide 15 but the auxiliary light is allowed to enter it.
