PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a calixarene derivative in high yield with good operability. SOLUTION: The method for producing the calixarene derivative represented by formula (1) (wherein, n is an integer of 4-8; and R is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group) comprises reacting calix[n]arene with a mixture of ethyl bromoacetate and ethyl chloroacetate.
