The method involves guiding fibers (F) e.g. paper or cellulose fibers, between milling tools (1, 2) that are provided with milling bars e.g. chromium-plated milling bars (3, 4), and slots (5, 6). The milling tools are moved relative to each other and parallel to casing surfaces (7, 8) of the milling bars. The milling bars are pressed opposite to each other, and predominant part of paper or cellulose fibers is processed between the bars through pressure impulses, where surfaces of the bars partially consist of a material whose friction value is smaller than steel.
