The system (1) has a superposition gear (4) with two gear input shafts (2, 3) that are operatively connected to a steering handle (6) and a servo motor (7) respectively, and a gear output shaft (5). A locking device (8) detachably fixes the shaft (3) to a body-fixed housing (9) in a form-fit or force-fit manner. A rotation angle sensor (10) i.e. index sensor (27), measures rotation angle of one of the shafts or rotor position of a rotor (13) of the motor. The sensor and the locking device are axially arranged between two radial bearings (11, 12) for the shaft (3) of the rotor.
