FIELD: construction, road engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to road engineering, namely to composition for surface treatment of road carpets and may be used in construction and repair of motor roads. Composition for surface treatment of road carpets comprises binder in the form of bitumen emulsion including bitumen, emulsifier, inorganic acids and water, and filler containing Fe2O3. Filler used is slag broken stone from electric steel smelting production of Volzhskiy pipe factory with fractions of 10-15 mm of Fe2O3 content in amount of 14-21 % at mass ratio of bitumen emulsion to filler equal to 0.087-0.093. ^ EFFECT: improved technical performance characteristics of road carpet, increased service life, better ecology, lower prime cost of road surface. ^ 2 tbl |
