<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of controlling vehicle behavior using travel state information of a vehicle acquired from a wheel speed. <P>SOLUTION: An actual yaw rate of a vehicle is detected from right and left wheel speeds of the vehicle, a stability factor stored for the vehicle beforehand, and a vehicle speed. An unstable state of the vehicle is detected from the actual yaw rate thus detected, and a reference yaw rate of the vehicle acquired from a steering wheel rotational angle, etc. Since a signal corresponding to the actual yaw rate is acquired from the information of a wheel speed sensor in the ABS fitted to the vehicle as standard equipment, there is no need to install an expensive yaw rate sensor to the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
