PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which a measurement instrument can be downsized, and the layout of optical elements can be simplified without complicating an optical path. SOLUTION: The optical scanner 200 includes: a supporting base 10 serving as a partial housing; an upper stage polygon mirror 11; a lower stage polygon mirror 12; scanning lenses 13 and 14; and turning back mirrors 15 to 20; and dust glasses 6a to 6d. A cover 110, together with a resin housing 140, forms a substantially closed box for preventing the entering of refuse into the inside of the optical scanner 200. Namely, the assembly of an optical write-in apparatus is completed by mounting the cover 110. The optical scanner 200 is composed by properly using the resin housing 140 and the metal (plate) frame.
