PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic response controlled building which is high in designing flexibility and exerts large vibration control performance. SOLUTION: The seismic response controlled building is implemented by a prefabricated building A which is constructed by assembling building units 1 to 4 each having four columns 5, 5, etc. and eight beams 6, 6, etc. rigidly connected to each other and having eight rigid connection portions G1 to G8. Herein rigid connection portions S1, S2 are arranged by rigidly connecting an additional column 7 in a beam-column frame of the building unit 1, and a hydraulic damper 10 as a vibration control device is mounted in the beam-column frame K1 inclusive of the additional column 7.
