PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a linear swing actuator in which a drive force is increased so as to be equivalent to the dimensions in a length direction of a coil and a drive circuit is simplified. SOLUTION: The actuator includes a multi-pole magnet 1 in which one magnetic pole is disposed on the center in the length direction and magnetic poles opposite to each other are disposed on both the ends, and a coil 2 facing so as to be relatively movable in the length direction of the multi-pole magnet 1. A distance between the magnetic pole on the center and the magnetic poles on both the ends is made to be shorter than the dimensions of the coil 2. With this configuration, the linear swing actuator which linearly reciprocates with a large drive force equivalent to the dimensions of the coil 2 and having a simplified drive circuit can be obtained.
