PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire screen device, the wire screen operation stile of which can be smoothly operated while minimizing a structure of the wire screen device, and which can protect a mesh member. SOLUTION: This wire screen device comprises: wire screen storage stiles 10 which are arranged in jambs 2 and 2 facing stiles 30 and 40 of inner and outer sashes 3 and 4, respectively; the wire screen operation stile 11 which is arranged in the state of being sandwiched between the wire screen storage stile 10 and the sashes 3 and 4; a wire screen 5 which is housed on the side of the wire screen storage stile 10 and which has a leading end 51 of the mesh member 50 mounted on the side of the wire screen operation stile 11; a wire screen catch 6 and a retainer 7 (as shown Fig.2), which enable the wire screen operation stile 11 to be operated in such a manner as to be freely engaged with and disengaged from the stiles 30 and 40; and a locking means 8 for regulating the operation of the wire screen operation stile 11 when the wire screen operation stile 11 can be singly operated by being disengaged from the stiles 30 and 40.
