PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornament constituted by applying japanese lacquer processing to a metal base material by which the characteristics of japanese lacquer such as durability and beauty in appearance can be maintained for long years while preventing delamination of a japanese lacquer film from the metal base material. SOLUTION: The ornament 37 is characterized in that a first japanese lacquer film 51 comprising green japanese lacquer, a second japanese lacquer film 52 constituted by mixing colcothar with green japanese lacquer, and a third japanese lacquer film 53 comprising green japanese lacquer are laminated in series on the surface 41a of the metal base material 41 comprising a metal material, and further a large number of dried japanese lacquer particles 56 formed in a particle shape by mixing kaolin and iron oxide with black japanese lacquer are arranged so as to contact with the three japanese lacquer films 51, 52, 53.
