PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection apparatus of a molding machine which can perform both injection of a molding material and an increase in the pressure of the molding material by the driving force of a motor. SOLUTION: The injection apparatus 1 comprises: a cylinder apparatus 11 including a cylinder rod 23 fixed to an injection plunger 5, a front side piston 25 the cylinder rod 23 fixed thereto and a back side piston 27 capable of pressurizing a hydraulic fluid in a second cylinder chamber C2 disposed on the head side of the front side piston 25; a first motor 13; a third motor 19; a tank 61 communicated to the second cylinder chamber C2; and a prefill valve 65 permitting the flow of the hydraulic fluid from the tank 61 to the second cylinder chamber C2 when the cylinder rod 23 advances to the side of a cavity Ca by the driving force of the third motor 19, and checking the flow of the hydraulic fluid from the second cylinder chamber to the tank 61 when the back side piston 27 pressurizes the hydraulic fluid in the second cylinder chamber C2 by the driving force of the third motor 19.
