PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting articles, in which articles can be inspected with high reliability. SOLUTION: The weight-sorting apparatus 1 for inspecting articles is provided with: an inspection condition storage part 51 for storing inspection conditions of the object W to be inspected; an inspection means for inspecting the conveyed object W to be inspected on the basis of the inspection conditions stored in the inspection condition storage part 51; a sorter for sorting the objects W to be inspected into non-defective and defective on the basis of the results inspected by the inspection means; an inspection condition modification part 45 for modifying the inspection conditions stored in the inspection condition storage part 51; a standard inspection condition storage part 52 for storing a standard inspection condition used for guaranteeing the inspection reliability in the inspection conditions as the standard inspection condition; and an inspection condition judgement part 46 for judging whether or not the inspection condition modified by the inspection condition modification part 45 is contained in the standard inspection condition stored in the standard inspection condition storage part 52.
