A rotating electrical machine can stably hold permanent magnets in trough parts formed in parts positioned between adjacent pawl-like magnetic pole parts in cut parts. In the rotating electrical machine, first and second magnet holding tools (30, 35) are installed in first and second trough parts (25, 26) formed in first and second yoke parts (19, 23) positioned between first and second pawl-like magnetic pole parts (20, 24) adjacent in a circumferential direction. First and second permanent magnets (32, 37) are held by the first and second magnet holding tools (30, 35) so that they confront each other on an inner peripheral faces at tip sides of the second and first pawl-like magnetic pole parts (24, 20).
