<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of performing a self-diagnosis while reducing a delay in starting command processing. <P>SOLUTION: In this portable electronic equipment for transmitting and receiving information to/from an external device, the electronic equipment receives a command transmitted from the external device, processes the received command to transmit a processing command to the external device, performs a self-diagnosis being a diagnosis as to whether the portable electronic equipment is normally operable during a command reception waiting period being a period when the command is not processed, writes a result of a self-diagnosis in a storing part each time the self-diagnosis is performed, and upon transmitting a command from the external device, stops the self-diagnosis to receive the command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
