<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a piping member more inexpensively and faster. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the piping member in which a cylinder part and a collar part are integrated is provided with a preparatory stage group (S1-S3) before forming the detailed shape of the collar part, a stage group (S4-S6) for forming the detailed shape of the collar part and a finishing stage group (S7-S10). In the preparatory stage group (S1-S3), the plate-like blank is formed into an intermediate material including a first part to be made into the cylinder part and a third part to be made into the collar part by press forming. In the stage group (S4-S6), a step (57e) is formed in the third part (53e) of the formed intermediate material by press forming.
