<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a FAX server and a program to prevent a document including improper contents from being transmitted in FAX transmission. <P>SOLUTION: This FAX server 100 reads information related to an approver from a bar-code printed on a letter of FAX transmission, when receiving a FAX document from a transmitter-side FAX machine 30. All pages of the transmission document are presented to the approvers, and determination as to whether to transmit the document is requested. When transmission is approved, the transmission document is transmitted to a receiving side FAX machine 40.
