<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating type disc brake capable of preventing the partial wear of a pad effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The floating type disc brake comprises a caliper 3 attached to a mounting movably, and a piston stored in a cylinder formed in the caliper 3. An inner pad is pressed against a disk rotor by the piston. An outer pad 6 is pressed against the disk rotor by a pawl 3a installed in the caliper 3. The outer pad 6 has a pressing region 6e pressed by the pawl 3a, and a sliding surface 6d sliding on the disk rotor. The centroid 6e1 of a whole pressing region 6e is positioned toward the rotation center of the disk rotor as compared with the centroid 6d1 of the sliding surface 6d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
