<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of performing dehumidification, deodorizing and sterilization by imparting deodorizing and sterilizing functions besides the dehumidifying function to a dehumidification rotor, in a dehumidifying apparatus adsorbing moisture in air to the dehumidification rotor and condensing and desorbing it for recovery. <P>SOLUTION: Metallic cations like silver ions having functions of sterilization and malodor decomposition are used for exchangeable cations of a moisture adsorbent such as zeolite contained in the dehumidification rotor, to impart malodor adsorbing performance, catalytic malodor decomposition capacity when heated, and sterilizing performance to the dehumidification rotor. The silver ion exchange dehumidification rotor 5 is incorporated in an apparatus having a fan 6 for aerating to the rotor 5, a heater 7 for desorbing humidity from the rotor 5, a fan 8 for sending hot air, a geared motor 9 for rotating the dehumidification rotor 5 for replacing the aeration part with the desorption part, and a heat exchange device 10 for recovering heated air and cooling and recovering desorbed water, to compose the dehumidifying apparatus 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
