PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively improve heat efficiency by uniformly heating a bottom surface of a cooking pan. SOLUTION: In a gas cooking stove 1, a combustion area 10, which has a circular shape in a plane view and includes a plurality of angled flame holes 15 at its outer periphery for circulating a combustion gas, is formed in a recessed state on a top panel 3 of a device body 2 on which the cooking pan P is placed. Each angled flame hole 15 is formed in a state of being inclined at a prescribed angle from the radial direction toward the circumferential direction side of the combustion area 10 so that the combustion gas flows to the center while swirling in the combustion area 10. Further, a combustion gas exhaust passage 17 is formed on a central portion of the combustion area 10 for guiding the combustion gas downward to be exhausted to the outside of the combustion area 10.
