PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid injection device, which can easily, securely and swiftly restart recording processing to a medium without deteriorating the quality of an image even in the case the clogging of a nozzle is generated, and furthermore can optionally change a nozzle group injecting liquid without exchanging a recording head. SOLUTION: In the fluid injection device, fluid is injected from an injection head 180 toward a medium 150 while rotating a support drum 140. The injection head 180 comprises: a first nozzle group; a second nozzle group formed so as to be the same and parallel to the first nozzle group and furthermore capable of injecting the fluid toward the medium 150 instead of the first nozzle group; and fitting mechanisms 173, 187 capable of changing the fitting position to the support drum 140 in accordance with the forming space between the first nozzle group and the second nozzle group.
