PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate the coordinates of a stationary object and a moving object. SOLUTION: In this object detecting device, an image detection section obtains relative three-dimensional coordinates, showing a relative spatial arrangement of the stationary object by contrasting two images imaged in chronological order by a camera mounted on the vehicle; a radar detection section obtains the distance and the azimuth related to the stationary object and the moving object, based on the reflected waves related to the irradiation waves irradiated to a range corresponding to the images; and an object coordinate recognition section calculates the absolute three-dimensional coordinates from the relative three-dimensional coordinates, by using the distance obtained about the stationary object within the images existing in the azimuth acquired.
