[PROBLEMS] To provide a method and apparatus for maintenance of windmill vane of wind power equipment designed to carry out the repair/replacement work of existing wind power equipment with reduced working cost and working period. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The method comprises the working steps of wrapping metal bands around the outer circumferential surface of a windmill tower with no lead at two positions vertically provided with a given spacing therebetween, fixing them, detachably mounting a rack rail of given length between the resultant vertically arranged pair of fixed metal bands, moving an elevating machine for maintenance mounted on the rack rail, and repeating wrapping and fixing of metal bands and mounting of rack rails until reaching the top edge of the windmill tower; wrapping and fixing a band with reel on the top edge of the windmill tower by the use of the elevating machine for maintenance; carrying out vertical movement of a working stage for maintenance to a given position by the use of the reel of the band with reel and a winch installed on the ground; and performs repair from the distal end to the base of the windmill vane by the movement of the working stage. |
