摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate to focus in a viewfinder and other small screens by selectively emphasizing specific frequency components to be noticed and resulting in viewing more clearly patterns whose spatial frequencies are high.

SOLUTION: A pulse width expanding means expands a specific band component extracted selectively from an image signal in a pulse width direction keeping its amplitude constant by using a band passing filter. A part of a specific band out of the patterns, especially only a high-frequency component, thickens its lines by combining an output signal of the pulse width expanding means and the image signal and outputting it using the pulse width expanding means.
