<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for economically and efficiently treating waste liquid containing compounds having a chelate forming property, and an apparatus used for performing the method. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment method of the waste liquid comprises the electrolytic process of introducing the waste liquid containing the compounds having a property forming a chelate with ions of metals selected from iron, aluminum, and magnesium to an electrolytic cell with electrodes and then eluting ions of metals, such as iron and the like, from an anode, the magnetization process of adding a magnetic powder into the waste liquid after the elution of the metal ions, and the recovery process of recovering the magnetic powder by magnetic separation. The waste liquid treatment apparatus comprises a power source, an electrolytic cell equipped with a pair of electrodes connected to the power source and accommodating the waste liquid, a magnetization tank for supplying the magnetic powder to the waste liquid after applying electricity to the electrodes, and a magnetic separator for magnetically separating the magnetic powder in the waste liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
