<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve scale reduction and cost reduction in the transmission system of an HD-SDI signal. <P>SOLUTION: In a transmitter 2-1, uncompressed super-high vision signals P1 to P16 and uncompressed high vision signals HD1 and HD2 are divided into three groups, and a time-division multiplexer 21 performs time-division multiplexing for each group, and converts those signals into three parallel signals. Then, an electric-optic converter 22 converts those signals into three optical signals whose wavelength is different for each group, and a wavelength multiplexer 23 performs wavelength multiplexing, and houses those signals in one optical fiber. In a receiver 3-1, a wavelength separator 31 separates the optical signal into three columns for each wavelength of the group, and an optic-electric converter 32 converts the optical signal into an electric signal for each group, and a time-division separator 33 converts the signals in three columns into uncompressed super high-vision signals P1 to P16 and the uncompressed high-vision signals HD1 and HD2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
