摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material which is satisfactory in color tone and is less in the change of the color tone by heating in a polymerization cured product of a composition composed of an episulfide compound, which is a medium refractive index material having a refractive index of nearly 1.6 and exhibits excellent optical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The resin for the optical material is obtained by polymerizing and curing 100 pts.wt. composition (a) for the optical material containing a compound having one or more of any group selected from the group consisting of an acryloyl group, a methacryloyl group, an allyl group and a vinyl group, and aβ-epithiopropyl group, respectively in one molecule in the presence of 0.001 to 3 pts.wt. at least one compound (b) selected from a boron trihalide complex, an organic acid and its ester, and a metal halide. Or the resin is obtained by polymerizing and curing 100 pts.wt. composition (a) for the optical material containing a compound having one or more of any group selected from the group consisting of an acryloyl group, a methacryloyl group, an allyl group and a vinyl group, and aβ-epithiopropyl group, respectively in one molecule in the presence of 0.001 to 3 pts.wt. at least one compound (b) selected from a boron trihalide complex, an organic acid and its ester, and a metal halide and in the presence of 0.001 to 3 pts.wt. at least one compound (c) selected from a peroxide and an azo compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
