PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an accurate roller having no protrusion resulting from residue of silicone rubber on a roller surface, and further achieving prevention of corrosion on the roller surface caused by a thermally modified matter of a mold releasing agent. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the roller molded by arranging a core bar in a cylindrical metallic mold after applying the mold releasing agent to the inner surface of the cylindrical metallic mold, injection-molding liquid silicone rubber to the core bar concentrically and hardening it, the residue of silicone rubber and the mold releasing agent are removed by bringing the surface of the roller, which is removed from the metallic mold after primary hardening treatment, into contact with an adhesive tape before secondary hardening treatment.
