摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station, mobile station, range-finding system, and positioning system in which the size of a code length in positioning can be determined in such a way that the required precision can be obtained in detection of a reception time and that the time required for detecting the reception time can be reduced. SOLUTION: A correlation value operation unit 28 calculates a correlation value between a spread code included in a code obtained by sampling a radio wave transmitted from a mobile station and received by a receiving unit 26 by means of a sampling unit 27 and a replica code, which is stored beforehand, of the spread code. A synchronizing time detection unit 30 detects a synchronizing time of the spread code included in the received radio wave based on the correlation value. Based on a peak value of the correlation value calculated when detecting the synchronizing time in the synchronizing time detection unit 30 and a value of the required precision preset to the synchronizing time detection unit 30, a code length determination unit 32 determines the size of a code length of the spread code transmitted by the mobile station.
