PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform coping even when choices which are not set on a unified UI image are present on the side of an image forming apparatus or the choices which are not set are changed by model change, without changing detail data for UI image display on the side of a UI server and without having a user change an unselectable setting value. SOLUTION: Since the UI server 30 unitarily controls the UI image, UI image files are the same for all the image forming apparatuses. By scripts unitarily included in the files, a setting value updating request is transmitted through a web service (WS) client 602 and a WS server 501 to a selection propriety determination part 503, and selection propriety is determined using a setting state tree 504 by the selection propriety determination part 503. When negative determination is made, the unselectable setting value is automatically changed to an optimum estimated value to update the setting value, the notice information is returned through the WS server 501 and the WS client 602 to a web browser 601, and the information is displayed on a touch panel 62.
