PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an event where scan data are stolen by a third person from occurring. SOLUTION: A scanner 10 has a scan data storage area 26 where scan data are stored. The scanner 10 transmits the URL of a folder where the scan data are stored to a PC 40. In a correspondence storage area 28, information, wherein the URL and an IP address of the PC 40 are made to correspond to each other is stored. A user of the PC 40 can access the URL. In this case, a combination of the URL and the IP address of the PC 40 is transmitted from the PC 40 to the scanner 10. The scanner 10 transmits the scan data stored at the URL to the PC 40, on the condition that the information wherein the URL and IP address included in the combination transmitted from the PC 40 made to correspond to each other be stored, in the correspondence information storage area 28.
