PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system LSI which does not expose the roughness that a correct picture, which cannot be viewed without a correct answer to a question picture, is reproduced by the execution of an AV function. SOLUTION: An AVClip and a PLMark indicating a program search position in the AVClip are recorded to a BD-ROM. There are three types of program search to the AVClip, that is, the program searches which are each based on a skipping operation by a user, based on a chapter search operation and based on a link command, respectively. The system LSI refers to attribute information in marker information to determine whether only the program search, which is based on a branch command, is permitted among the three types of program search or to determine whether the program searches, which are based on the skipping operation and the chapter search operation in addition to the branch command, are permitted, and then executes program searching according to the result of the determination.
