PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve alarm information on an alarm generation date called by an alarm device, and to instantaneously display a reduced image shown by the retrieved alarm information. SOLUTION: This monitoring device includes: an alarm information storage means 17a for storing alarm information; a device information storage means 17b for storing device information; an alarm determination means 11a for, when retrieval conditions are selected, determining whether or not alarm information suitable for retrieval conditions is stored; a reduced image display control means 11b for, when the alarm information is stored, displaying a reduced image included in the alarm information; a retrieval device determination means 11c for, when the reduced image is selected from the outside, extracting a terminal number corresponding to the reduced image and an image recording device number corresponding to the terminal number and a camera number based on the alarm information and the device information; and a moving image display control means 11d for receiving and displaying a moving image photographed in a time including the alarm generation date corresponding to the selected reduced image from image recording devices 106a and b.
