PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce mechanical loss of an expander and to improve reliability thereof, by preventing axial pressing force from being exerted on an output shaft caused by supply of high-pressure refrigerating machine oil to the sliding part of the output shaft. SOLUTION: A thrust plate (110) is provided on the side of the lower end of the output shaft (40) of an expansion mechanism (31). When the output shaft (40) is pushed downward by the high-pressure refrigerating machine oil on the side of an oil space (103a), the thrust plate (110) supports the output shaft (40) against the pressing force.
