A radiation detector (1) includes a first reflector plate frame (7) and a second reflector plate frame (8). Each of scintillator crystals is inserted to penetrate the first reflector plate frame (7) and the second reflector plate frame (8) in a (z) direction, so that a plurality of scintillator crystals are disposed in a first direction and a second direction to form a scintillator crystalline layer (2A). A position of the first reflector plate frame (7) provided on the scintillator crystalline layer (2A) and a position of the second reflector plate frame (8) provided on the scintillator crystalline layer (2A) are different from each other. Such a configuration provides the radiation detector with a significantly reduced manufacturing cost while not degrading spatial resolution and detection sensitivity.
