A method for digital gamma correction is provided to perform gamma correction to one color and applying a representative value according to a rate to the colors, there is no need to require a color temperature luminance settling time. In a method for digital gamma correction, a gradation luminance of one color among the red, green, and blue light coming out from the panel is measured. A primitive bit code is set by normalizing the measured data of one color at luminance, and the target bit code is extracted from the primitive bit code. Gamma-correct to the one color is performed by using the target bit code(S105), and the target bit code of the other color is produced based on the primitive bit code.
