<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission including a first transmitting mechanism 3 for transmitting turbine rotation of a torque converter 2 with a relatively large speed reduction ratio, a second transmitting mechanism 4 for transmitting pump rotation with a relatively small speed reduction ratio and a double planetary gear 6, capable of achieving speed change of forward eight stages. <P>SOLUTION: Four rotating elements of the double planetary gear 6 are shown as first, second, third and fourth elements in the order of their arrangement in the speed diagram, and the second element R is connected to an output member 5. The automatic transmission includes a first clutch C1 for connecting the first element S2 to the first transmitting mechanism 3, a second clutch C2 for connecting the third element C to the second transmitting mechanism 4, a third clutch C3 for connecting the fourth element S1 to the second transmitting mechanism 4, a fourth clutch C4 for connecting the fourth element S1 to the first transmitting mechanism 3, a first brake B1 for fixing the fourth element S1 and a second brake B2 for fixing the third elements C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
