PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing process of a delivery device comprising a core containing a pharmaceutically active agent which core is coated with a film including one or more openings connecting the outside of the device and the core and which process is characterized in that the film is provided by injection-molding the coating on the periphery of the core. SOLUTION: The process comprises: preparing a core 1 of a device 7 containing a pharmaceutically active agent; placing the core in a mold cavity and enclosing the core 1 (herein, the mold cavity specifies the required dimension of the film, and preferably specifies the required positions, shape and dimension of the one or more openings 8); injecting a moldable, fluid material into the mold cavity; curing the material to form the film 6; and separating the formed device 7 from the mold cavity.
