PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for a portable device that protects a solar battery panel, is hardly damaged nor broken against an impact caused by dropping or the like and maintains conversion efficiency to electric energy. SOLUTION: The charger for a portable device includes: a case body 12, a battery 23, an electronic part substrate unit 25 and a solar battery panel 48 accommodated in the case body 12 in a stacked state; a synthetic resin transparent cover 143 having a transparent part covering the light receiving surface 47 of the solar battery panel 48 and connected to the case body 12; and a charger connector 29 provided while being electrically connected to the battery 23 through the electronic part substrate unit 25 and connectable to the charging terminal of a mobile phone. The case body 12 and the transparent cover 13 have fitting circumferential walls 15, 18 to be fitted with each other, and the fitting circumferential walls 15, 18 have tapered surfaces 15a, 18a tilted in the direction gradually approaching toward the fitting depth direction, with the inner space formed by the case body 12 and the transparent cover 13 sealed watertight.
