PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner which is excellent in cold temperature fixability, and which does not cause winding around a heating member of a fixing device even when performing printing onto a thin paper sheet at a high speed, does not cause tacking even when storing printed matters in piles, does not cause carrier contamination and does not cause fogging while maintaining the cold temperature fixability. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner having a core-shell structure is prepared by covering a core particle comprising at least a resin, a colorant and a wax with a shell layer made of the resin, wherein holes of an average diameter of 100 to 1,000 nm exist by 2 to 30 pieces per one particle of toner on an average, on the shell layer.
