PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a gas meter allowing a measuring tube to be reused without being discarded, the measuring tube giving a measured value of flow rate falling outside an allowable range for correction. SOLUTION: As for arrangements of projecting and recessed shapes on straightening vanes 24 disposed at prescribed spaces, at least two arrangements are previously selected: a first arrangement effecting an increase in a correction coefficient and a second arrangement effecting a decrease in the correction coefficient. In assembling a gas meter, firstly, the gas meter is assembled by using the measuring tube 22 with the straightening vanes 24 assembled by an optional arrangement to find a correction coefficient with respect to a reference flow rate. Where the found correction coefficient falls outside the allowable range and is shifted to the larger value side, the measuring tube 22 is disassembled and the straightening vanes 24 are rearranged according to the second arrangement to reassemble the measuring tube 22. When the found correction coefficient falls outside the allowable range and is shifted to the smaller value side, the measuring tube 22 is disassembled and the straightening vanes 24 are rearranged according to the first arrangement to reassemble the measuring tube 22.
