PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article holder, which is easy to operate even in a case of such a strong holder as securely holding a thick article, and which is excellent in design performance. SOLUTION: The article holder 10 is mounted on a side circumferential surface of a counter 2 for use. The article holder includes a pair of holding piece parts 11 disposed to face each other in such a way as holding an article, and a mounting part 20 for mounting the pair of holding piece parts 11 onto the counter 2. A cover member 15 to cover the holding piece parts 11 is pivotally supported 14 on the opening end part side on the opposite mounting part side of the holding piece parts 11.
