PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus allowing a user to acquire the content of a series of fluoroscopic images by displaying a characteristic image in the fluoroscopic images. SOLUTION: The X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes: an X-ray tube; an X-ray generator for applying a high voltage to the X-ray tube; an X-ray flat panel detector oppositely disposed to the X-ray tube with a subject placed therebetween; an image processing means for processing an image based on electric signals read from the X-ray flat panel detector; an image display means for displaying a processed X-ray image or fluoroscopic image; a fluoroscopic image storage means for storing the fluoroscopic image output from the image processing means; a detection means for detecting that contrast medium is injected in the subject; and a characteristic frame storage means for storing a characteristic frame of the fluoroscopic image when detected by the detection means. The image display means reads and displays the fluoroscopic image corresponding to the stored characteristic frame from the fluoroscopic image storage means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
