PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold release film which is excellent in process suitability of dimensional change rate under a heating tension during manufacturing a ceramic sheet, is excellent in heat shrinking balance during drying of the ceramic and at the same time, includes surface smoothness, namely, sufficiently satisfies performances required for the mold release film when a ceramic sheet is manufactured. SOLUTION: The mold release film which has a degree of shrinkage under a load within a specific range, has a heat-shrinking ratio under no load within a specific range, and in addition, has a specific surface height, is used for a mold release film for manufacturing the ceramic sheet.
