An ink set for inkjet recording, including: an aqueous ink composition containing a pigment coated with a water-insoluble resin including a structural unit represented by the following formula (I), an organic solvent, a neutralizing agent, and water; and an aqueous liquid composition containing a component which aggregates the pigment in the aqueous ink composition when the aqueous liquid composition is mixed with the aqueous ink composition: wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, Ar represents an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic ring, and n represents an average number of repetition of 1 to 6.
