AN INSTANT MESSAGING METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS

A mothod and an apparatus which utilize a browser to realize instant messaging (IM). The said method includes the following steps: the browser logs in the IM background server; upon receiving an instant message sent from the user, the browser sets up a HTTP link with the access server and sends the instant message; the access server adds the said message to the uploading queue, and checks whether there is any message to be distributed to the said user; if so, it distributes the most front message in the distributing queue utilizing the link, and interrupts the link after the distribution is completed; otherwise, it interrupts the link, and the browser sets up the HTTP link with the access server again when it checks that the link has been interrupted. The said system includes a webpage server, a browser module and an access server. The IM is achieved through the upinterrupted short link between the browser and the access server.
