DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR VALVE INSUFFICIENCY OF PERFORATING VEINS OF MEDIAL SURFACE OF SHIN

FIELD: medicine; phlebology. ^ SUBSTANCE: venous bandage is pre-applied in upper third of thigh of lower limb lifted while lying. Veins are ultrasonographied while the patient being upright. If the diametre of perforating vein exceeds 2 mm, valve insufficiency is diagnosed. ^ EFFECT: higher information value of ultrasonography of lower limb veins that helps to reduce risk of hyperdiagnostics of valve insufficiency of perforating veins of shin, to decrease extent of the following surgical intervention and to keep perforating veins functioning normally. ^ 2 ex, 4 dwg
