<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new transcriptional regulatory factor having a bromodomain and a gene thereof, to provide their production method, and to provide a method for screening a medicine candidate compound by utilizing the factor. <P>SOLUTION: BLAST search is conducted on the EST database by using various base sequences encoding known bromodomain motifs to discover several ESTs likely encoding bromodomain genes. Then, testicular cDNAs are PCR cloned by using primers designed based on the sequence of EST (W17142), which is one of the ESTs discovered above, by using the thus obtained PCR product as a probe, the testicular cDNA library is screened, and the obtained cDNA clone is used as a probe to re-screen the testicular cDNA library, thereby isolating a full-length cDNA corresponding to EST W17142. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
