<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advertisement providing system etc. which provides an advertisement suitably according to a place or an user, using an SSID of an access point of a wireless LAN located all over the town. <P>SOLUTION: In the advertisement providing system, a terminal device detects an electromagnetic wave beacon which are located all over the town emit (501), stores an SSID history, and, when a relevant history is transmitted to a server at predetermined timing (502), the server device transmits to the terminal device advertisement information matched with the SSID included in the relevant history (503), thereby providing an advertisement according to the place of a user and the moving direction of the user, while considering user's privacy. When the access point device is not under the control of the server, the terminal device can add one in which a hash function is applied in place of the SSID to the history, thereby privacy related to the SSID can be considered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
