<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium having playback compatibility with a plurality of playback devices conforming to different specifications and reducing difference in quality between recording contents of the respective specifications. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical information recording medium 60, a light transmission layer 10, a first information recording layer 20, a first substrate 30, a second information recording layer 40 and a second substrate 50 are layered in this order from a playback light incident surface side. The first and the second information recording layers 20 and 40 are played back by playback optical systems different from each other and a playback film 41 for playing back a signal having a mark length shorter than a resolution limit of the playback optical system reproducing the second information recording layer 40 and a light absorbing film 42 absorbing playback light and converting the playback light into heat are provided in the second information recording layer 40. Thereby, cost increase is minimized, a super resolution medium having high playback durability and higher recording density can be attained and a storage capacity equal to that of the first information recording layer 20 can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
